Mr. & Mrs. Day meet the crazy babies.

We discussed for a long time how we would do Christmas. After much debate we decided going to VA would be the best bet for us. It is six hours away, but with quads it turned into 7-8 hours. It was just easier to take the babies up to VA instead of everyone coming down to Charleston. Plus we got to see some of our favorite people! We didn't get to see everyone though because it was kept Super Secret Squirrel since the babies still have such under developed lungs. So we moved lock down from SC to VA.

We enjoyed our time away from home, but decided it will be a long...long...long...long time before we take another road trip. They did awesome, but both on the way up and back down we had a good hour of screaming. In surround sound. Not.Fun.

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas & have a Happy New Year!

Blessings

It's easy to get caught up in the fast pace of our new life. It's feedings every 4 hours and diapers and baths and laundry and bottles. There is always something else to do. Sometimes we get caught up in what we need to do that we forget to stop and just breathe. Our babies are getting so big, and it is hard to imagine they will be 4 months old next week! They're getting bigger everyday and there is a point during each day that I can't believe we have quadruplets. Life is busy and it is hectic, but more than that it is wonderful.

I've tried so often to finish this post, but I get side tracked or pulled away. Maybe today will be the day! Shortly after I typed this Alexis started crying so I closed the computer and snuggled with her instead.

We went in today for their 3rd round of the RSV shot, and their 4 month well baby visit. They aren't really 4 months until the 16th, but they let us come in as few times as possible. Below are some recent pictures I've taken, and their current weights! They are right on track for their adjusted age, and some of the actual age stuff they are starting to do. They are smiling so much now, and seem to be on the verge of laughing! Carolyn is just now starting to smile while the others have been doing it for a few weeks, but we aren't concerned because all babies are different. Aiden's umbilical hernia is looking so much better! Everyone is growing and the doctor thinks they're doing so well they won't need to have the RSV shots next year!!! We're hoping they continue down the path they are currently on. We're getting more spit up now, and more spit up means more stains...yay! No not really.

I have to thank Aunt Martz and Grandma for coming down to see us, and help take care of the babies for the past week. They did awesome and we are so happy they could come visit the babies, and look forward to their next visit!
