I’ve done several small posts filled with pictures, and now it is time for the update post.
Aiden
Currently at 22 ALMOST 23lbs! He has started walking, and is more and more confident every day. When he wants to get some where fast he still crawls, but he is improving! He has started hitting more frequently, and we’ve tried just about everything to get him to stop. Nothing seems to be working so we’re still trying. I set up a playpen in the living room for time out, and the others just ran over to him to play. That’s helpful. He got a haircut just before our Christmas pictures were taken, and looks like a little boy now instead of a baby! He likes to eat chicken nuggets and fish, but they are starting to get tired of the same thing all the time. We are searching for alternatives because so far whatever new we try is thrown on the floor. Aiden went to the ER last Friday, or was it Monday? I don’t know he went though because his daycare teacher thought maybe he aspirated pizza. He didn’t. It turns out he had croup again, or at least that is what they diagnosed him with. Never really sounded croupy to me, but I’m not a doctor. We tried coloring, and Aiden ate the tip of the crayon…at least he tried to. Crazy. He claps a lot now, and also has started blowing kisses!!!
Maxwell is our “I’m going to do something I shouldn’t even though I know it’s wrong just to see if I can get away with it” kid. You say no and he turns around and smiles to see if he is ok with just that. Sometimes he sticks out his bottom lip in a sassy poochy lip that really isn’t a pout. He likes to collect things like apple jacks to see how many he can get in his hand, but he usually won’t eat them for a while….if he eats them at all. Mumums are a favorite, but Max just carries them around and screams when someone tries to take his. He also enjoys carrying around the wrapper they came in. What a weirdo! He stands there crying until I hand him the trash AND the mumum, but in all honesty he’d probably be just as happy with only the trash. He makes the funniest face when he sees/hears the plastic wrap. Sticks out his lower lip and then gets his eyes all big. Crazy head. He is walking so much better now, and will occasionally get it into his head that he should run. That doesn’t tend to go so well seeing as we have hardwood and carpet so he sometimes stumbles, but always gets back up. These kiddos are wonderfully hard headed and determined. LOVE that.
Blurry, but so a Maxwell face.
Alexis is wild and crazy. She is also sick right now so not so wild and crazy. She has an upper respiratory infection they said at the hospital when she went in for an ER visit. She loves to watch everyone and constantly is making sure no one is having too much fun without her. They said to make sure the others don’t follow her around because she will do everything for them. She is our leader, and she is fearless. Stands on top of rocking chairs, tries to climb gates, stands on top of rubbermaid containers, and tries to stand up in her high chair. When the wind hits her face she scrunches it up like ewww that’s cold. She walks less, and runs more. She has to have her pacifier to sleep and her Cattie. She would rather walk around than be held, and she would rather climb up the slide than the stairs and slide down. She laughs every time she goes down the slide though.
Not feeling so great
Carolyn is starting to run now, and will start in the middle of the living room and walk fast/run to the wall or someone. She also likes to hand things to people. She will walk up and hand you something, and after you say thank you she will take it back. She is the smallest weight out of everyone, but shockingly enough not the shortest. Aiden is. Crazy. She is feeling much better and is antibiotics for an ear infection. She is a slow eater, but our best because she rarely throws things on the floor. She will eat all day if you let her. She went to daycare this week with pigtails, but when I went to pick her up her hair was standing all over her head! She looked adorable. She can sign more, and we are working on milk. I’m trying to sit with them for an episode each night to get the signing down. it is much easier to know what they want when they can’t speak.
I set the cushions up like this to block the babies. She climbed in and got stuck, and when she thought I wasn’t coming to save her she laid down and started watching tv.

I love, LOVE the pigtails! So adorable.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the updates, of course I do love to see all the pics, but also like to hear what they're up too lately.
So glad everyone is feeling better.
